A new way of living art
Located in Overtown, Arthouse is a 20,000 sf mixed-use residential building designed as a vertical artist residency. Built on a compact urban site adjacent to I-395, the seven-story project maximizes the footprint while creating a flexible environment for living, working, and creative collaboration.
Each floor contains a full-floor residence designed to accommodate artists in residence, with open loft-inspired layouts, shared social spaces, and private bedrooms. At street level, a gallery and open-air event space connect the building to the neighborhood and support exhibitions, installations, and community gatherings.
The architecture embraces its highly visible location through large angled walls facing the highway, conceived as monumental canvases for rotating artwork. The result is a building that combines housing, cultural programming, and public expression within a single architectural framework.
