Designing Within Constraints, Defined by Innovation
Located in Key Biscayne, Myrtlewood is a 3,600 sf residence shaped by the challenges and opportunities of local zoning and flood regulations. Built on a prominent corner lot, the design transforms these constraints into a refined architectural solution.
A carefully choreographed arrival sequence leads visitors from a covered side approach to a sculptural entry, while the façade combines limestone, concrete, glass, and vertical metal louvers to provide privacy, shade, and visual rhythm.
Inside, open living spaces, a floating staircase, and a double-height courtyard bring light deep into the home and strengthen the connection to the outdoors. The result is a contemporary residence defined by clarity, warmth, and thoughtful problem-solving.
